Vous avez entendu souvent Schlachthofbronx dans mes sets. En fait, pour être honnête, c’est l’un des groupes que je joue le plus souvent! C’est leur 1ère tournée Nord-Américaine et on est fier de les recevoir à Karnival pour leur première date au Canada!

For the 3rd time (I was there in 2008 and 2010) I’ll be in Austin, Texas, March 16-20 for that crazy Stockhausen music installation called SXSW where 10 millions band play simultaneously and louder than each one. They said it’s an indie-rock festival. I don’t believe it. I believe it’s post-post-post-modern music thing and a Stockhausen’s wet dream. I can tell you for sure that you’ll find me at Iron Works BBQ!

I just want to let you know that I’m preparing a new EP for Ninja Tune with four soca tracks all at 160 bpm! The first Soca Sound System EP was a real succes and I keep playing the tracks in my DJ sets and the crowd reaction is better than ever so it’s time to bring some new original tracks in 2011.

I did recently the original soundtrack for two documentaries and Le Plan (The Downtown Project) is the first one to be released!
The world premiere was last week and it’s now at Cinéma ONF in Montréal March 3-6.

While I was on tour in Philadelphia, Brooklyn and Baltimore I heard Wiz Khalifa’s “Black & Yellow” maybe 200 times in the car while driving more than 2500 km! At some point an idea came to my mind. Wiz needed a soca treatment! Here’s the result:

Thanks to everybody who came at Karnival v.8 at Club Soda during the Montreal’s Nuit Blanche! We had more than 2200 people dancing crazy to the carnival vibes. Ghostbeard, Face-T, Boogat, surprise guest L’Xtrmst.Zen and Terrato came all on stage to provide the best. We definitely gonna try to do always a Karnival during Nuit Blanche.
